SYPHILIS

    -Is a sexual transmitted disease(STD) caused by bacteria treponema pallidum.Syphilis start with arise of sore(chancre) on  genital area,rectum or mouth, the sore always painless.Syphilis is very complicated when left untreated.

WAYS OF TRANSMISSION
   -Unsafe sex,
   -Sharing sex toys
   -direct contact with syphilitic sore
   -congenital (from mother to child during birth pregnancy)
   -contact sores during kissing

SIGNS AND SYMPTOMS
Syphilis divided into four different stage which are
 -PRIMARY SYPHILIS
This acquired by direct sexual contact with the infectious sores of another person. Characterised by occurance of sore called chancre to point of contact.sore is painless,singly
-In men, a chancre often appears in the genital area, usually (but not always) on the penis.
-In women, chancres can develop on the outer genitals or on the inner part of the vagina.



 -SECONDARY SYPHILIS
Occur four to ten weeks after the primary infection. Symptoms commonly involve the skin,lymph and mucous membranes which may be reddish pink, non itchy rashes on trunk and extremities. Other symptoms may include fever,sore throat,weight loss,malaise,hair loss in eyelashes,swelling of lymph nodes,

  -LATENT SYPHILIS
This hidden stage of Syphilis after the secondary rashes goes way.This happen when there is no symptoms of disease but having serological proof.at this stage still Syphilis can be transmitted to another person during unsafe sex.

  -TERTIARY SYPHILIS
 This may occur 3 to 15 year if left untreated. This affect central nervous system, cardiovascular Syphilis and dementia

PREVENTION OF SYPHILIS
  -Safe sex by using condom
  -reduce number of sexual partiner just have sex with one partner
  -Screen mother early during pregnancy and treating those who are infected.
  -Avoid sex with someone who has symptoms of Syphilis until they have finished treatment.
  -perfom STD check up regularly.

TREATMENT OF SYPHILIS
At early stage Syphilis is easy to cure with antibiotics called penicillin that can kill treponema pallidum.people with allergic to penicillin will be treated with antibiotics such as doxycycline.
Treatment should be done to both sexual partiner
